Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need teaching experience to mentor?

No! We provide training and support. What matters is your enthusiasm and willingness to ask good questions. Our mentors come from all backgrounds.

How much time does mentoring take?

Mentors commit to 2 sessions per week, about 30-45 minutes each. Sessions are scheduled around your availability, and you can mentor for 6-12 months or longer.

What about the £100 contribution?

Many mentors contribute ~£100 towards the costs of computer equipment and internet access for their mentees. However, this is optional—mentors on a budget are welcome to participate without it.

How does mentorship happen?

All mentorship happens via Teams video calls. You'll meet with your assigned group of mentees twice per week. Sessions combine question-posing, internet exploration, and relationship building.

Can I donate if I can't mentor?

Absolutely! Donations of any size directly support computers, internet access, and mentorship programs. Every contribution makes a real difference in children's lives.

How can schools partner with EDCLUB?

Schools can integrate EDCLUB mentorship into student programs. Email us to discuss partnership opportunities, whether it's supporting student mentors, whole-school involvement, or sponsorship.
